“The Cookbook” is a narrative short film that explores obsession, control, and consequence through an intimate, tension-driven story. After his father's debilitating stroke, an estranged son returns home to Central New York where he's torn between taking over his father's Lebanese restaurant and carrying on family tradition or pursuing his own dream. The film earned multiple festival awards—including a Best Sound award from the New York Cinematography Awards—for its immersive and meticulously crafted audio design.
